Okay, some of you have read in other threads about my husband, nards656 having surgery this past week. Specifically, he had an open heart surgery to correct an atrial-septal defect. They had to patch a hole between the top two chambers of the heart. Originally, they thought the hole was about the size of a quarter, but it was closer to the size of a half dollar coin. (4 to 5 cm in diameter).

Anyway, the surgery was a success, and my baby doll's heart is now complete. :)

Without a doubt, Bernard is my hero. He faced the surgery stoically, and came through with flying colors. All of his nurses were amazed at how well he did.

Right before they took him down to OR

Recovering

No, it's NOT a bong.

There are others in my portfolio (under Bernard's surgery), but some of them are kinda gross. :) I was using a p-n-s, and some without a flash so as not to disturb him, so they aren't the greatest of quality.

Go NARDS!!

Way to go nard. We wish you a speedy recovery. Try to maintain a 3000 on that resp. device.

That not-bong is very familiar-looking! May he use it well and be up and running in no time. And I'm pleased to see he has a bunny; very important component of the healing process (at least in my house) :-)

Hopefully he'll soon be able to put down the pretend bong and get back to using the real bong.

JK ;-)

Get well soon.

That is great news. It is wonderful when one comes home from the hospital:-) Wishing your husband a speedy recovery from the surgery. Recovery is slow and steady so make sure to listen to the body and give it the healing rest it needs.
