Slate has a daily slide show of archived photos from all over, many quite historical and at least 50% in black and white. There's some great inspiration in there. Yesterday's theme was May Day Celebrations: //todayspictures.slate.com/20070501

my first contribution, im starting with a seascape.
the foreground is bland, but i love the sky in this. i will probably use the sky for another shot at a later date. |

I have some places in mind for some shots for this challenge, but it is raining today so they will have to wait. This shot fits into my life right now, as one of my sons will be graduating from high school this month and is preparing to start college this fall. |

DAY 3 ..
its now 7.30am 3rd May in australia ...
i prefer b&w over colour in lots of ways but i'm finding it much more difficult to 'do' .. i find it easier to get a 'nice' photograph in colour ..
now this really IS boring .. i think i'll need to get out more !!..

| There must be a way to get paid for this. Between the shooting, processing, posting and commenting I'm using up hours of income-producing time in my day. It's either that or no sleep. So how can we do this and make money at it? hahaha - just kidding, of course. This is such a lively side challenge - can't keep up. |
