Please forgive me if I miss some comments, MAN! there is an awful lot of images going on in here.. it's a very populated thread... Hats off to everyone involved I am so totally impressed with what I have seen so far, some of you have really outdone yourselves. very classy work. but then again... I LOVE B&W!

Hard to see much from the thumbnail. But what I can see it looks like you have some great B/W tones and focus. Great model.

OMG! I'm not the only one! I'm using Picasa for another week or two until I get my new comp. It works well enough. I'll give you the rundown of how I PP in Picasa...maybe we can compare notes. I don't typically use the auto contrast (to extreme, IMO). I always tinker with the fill, hi-lite, and shadows. Maybe a bit of color temperature. Then I usually saturate it to just before the graininess comes in. Then I convert to B&W with whichever color filter looks best. Then maybe a sharpen.
Sometimes I'll use the glow, soft focus, or half-shading tools. I know none of this answers your question, but I'm just so excited that someone else is using Picasa! Drop me a line if you have any questions about it.
