So what is vanishing point?
really i read the description and still didn't understand |

This might give you some ideas:

It usually used more in drawing (especially comics) than other art forms but it can be really cool in photography if its captured well.

Of the high-scoring pictures from the last Vanishing Point challenge I think this one explains it best:
Maybe it's just me, but I find the outstanding beauty of the blue ribbon winner is matched only by it's complete lack of suitability for the challenge. I just don't see a vanishing point:
I guess that's just the way it goes with technical challenges around here...

Exactly my thoughts when I looked at it first. Going by the comments may be it's the wow factor that's important. Only a couple of them actually pointed it out, but the rest got sucked into the beauty of the landscape. :)

This was my freestudy for April, what a pity I couldn't use it for this challenge!
It's title was 'Vanishing Point'.

I just love the way that the clouds were also all pointing to the vanishing point of the picture. Wont catch that again. Also this shot is taken about one hour from home so dont think I will be able to go back too soon. |
