I drive a 2004 F150 1/2 ton. LOVE IT! Only 16-18mp though.
Been accosted only once because of it being "enviornmentally unfriendly." But I told them to shove it up their crack, because my other vehicle is a 2003 BMW F650GS ("johnny popper" or "thumper" since it has only one cylinder) motorcycle that gets 76-78mpg. Asked if they could do better? :) And I rode it last year into December and started again in early March. Great on the backroads in the mountains also!!

When I want to move myself, in the more metaphorical sense, I ride.

1989 Ford Escort 1.3 popular made in Dagenham Essex (known as a Dagenham dustbin) it starts every morning, flew through its MOT and the parts are everywhere and cheap, rattles like a bag of nails but never stops running. gotta love those old ford engines.
Owned many cars in Japan but the best one was a 1991 Nissan R32 Skyline GTSt it went...... pretty fast

Inherited my dad's 1971 Javelin in 1983. Ran like a charm, right up until it was stolen. :(
Next car was a used 1971 Lincoln Continental Towncar, 'The Tank', hated trying to park it, but man was that car a smooth ride! :)
Used 1981 Honda Civic, don't remember the miles, but I drove it up until a tree landed on it August 24, 1992, Hurricane Andrew.
After the tree incident, bought a used 1989 Eagle Premier, Limited.
When that finally died, bought a used 1997 Ford Escort, Sport. Still have it, has less than 80,000 miles on it. I also have my dad's old 1989 Ford Explorer, which gets better gas milage than the new Explorer's. For long trips, involving astronomy or photography, then I use Explorer. If trip is just for personal time, then I take Escort. Well, unless I have to go anywhere near mountains, then it's the Explorer. :) |

I drive a '95 Jeep Cherokee, got about 103,000 miles on it. Not as fuel efficient as I'd like, but I'm 6'4" and tend to travel with a lot of gear, so little cars just don't work for me. My best friend's Civic, I literally have to fall over to get down in it.
Before that I had some 90's year Ford Explorer Sport (2-door model). We called it the "Exploder" since the transmission was about to blow up at any moment. Only had it about 8 months.
I'd really like to get a Mazda RX-8, although I'm not sure I'd fit in that, either...
