Just wanted to mention that I LOVE THIS THREAD!
I think it's such a cool idea - and it's always so interesting to see what others have picked!
Just wanted to shout out a reminder too, to let the people you've picked know you've done it - what a wonderful surprise it would be to get selected - SMILE!

| I think that the winners of the Street challenge were so "blah" and done before (many times). This thread makes that point too, but I wish the voters start waking up, as they keep allowing straight copies of other shots on DPC to win ribbons. Ah well. |

I have to agree with previous picks in this thread especially fabulous fotos by Imagineer, muur88, jjbeguin, posthumous & pekesty.
Not to duplicate - here are some other excellent contenders high on my list, but low in overall score:

There were many thrilling photos in this challenge. I gave what I thought were a lot of comments but still have plenty of high-scoring photos that I never commented on, including the 9 I gave to quiet_observation's photo. Anyway, it was tough to pick ribbons. The first two just blew my mind and the yellow ribbon went to a photo that just seemed perfect to me (that's right, perfection is not my highest ideal. :) ). I give thanks to the people who've posted here so far: they've picked many of my other 10s and faves from this challenge.

I felt both were vastly under-rated in the free study. Perhaps not ribbon winners, but should have been WAY nearer the top. |
