Hi All, we are lucky enough to go shoot a wedding Coasta Rica. My wife and I went to Costa Rica for our Honey moon and went to Arenal and Manuel Antionio. The wedding we are shooting is Manuel Antionio. We are wondering if any one has suggestions on places we have to go. Not only in Manuel Antionio but in Costa Rica? Thanks in advance. |

Tabacon Hot Springs. It's close to Arenal and the Volcanoe Arenal heats the water that comes from the springs. The place is beautifully landscaped with tropical plants and flowers and the waters from the springs have been directed over several waterfalls. It costs about $215 per night to stay there, but you can get a day pass for a lot less (around $40 I think).
By the way, if you haven't been back to Manuel Antonio lately you might be shocked at how expensive accomodations near the park have gotten as well as in nearby Quepos. The secret is out and they've matched price to demand. |

All of Beagleboy's suggestions are great!! You might also want to check out Waterfall Gardens.
How long are you going to stay in CR?

The waterfall gardens are great. There are butterflies and hummingbirds there also.
This is an old Christmas card, but you get the idea.

We are still working on the specifics of the trip. As far as Manuel Antinio, the people we are shooting the wedding for is covering the hotel cost there. So we are not concerned about that.
The Waterfall Gardens look like a neat place. Where is that located in Costa Rica.
We stayed at Tobacon Springs when we went down for our honeymoon the first time. We have talked about it again, but thinking we will skip it this time.
Thanks for all the suggestions so far.

The waterfall gardens are in La Paz, about 2-3 hours outside of San Jose. They have a couple aviaries there that are a great location for easy bird shots, like this one:
Tamarindo is a fun little beach town on the Nicoya peninsula ... we rented a place there over 4th of July this year for about $200/night with two families ... and got a main house, two casitas with kitchenettes, and a pool where we hung out after coming back from the beach:
Monteverde Cloud Forest is another place to think about going, if you've already been to Arenal. Beautiful country up there:
