Greetings :)
Im after a fairly simple not-to-heavy not-to-big not-too-expensive zoom lense to accompany my stock 18-55mm lense so they can kiss and be friends and have babies. I see that the Canon 28-135mm IS USM is a fairly popular one amongst DCP'ers. I definatly don't want a huge bazooka style telescope lense, just something that will give me at least some sort of zoom.

28-135 you are looking at is a nice, medium range, cheap lens. There's also a lot of praise on similiar range lenses by sigma and tamron and tokina if you browse through the forums. |

I agree. The 28-135 is a great, all purpose, walkaround lens with decent range. Not too heavy.

I would have to go with the 28-135 also. It is a very nice lens that allows you a fair amount of flexibility, lightweight and not expensive.
