Here is a photo I took today, couldn't pass up on the beautiful streaks of light coming through the thick clouds. Please let me know what I could have done better, as I am trying to improve on a daily basis. And also what I could do in Photoshop to improve this image even more. This is also two exposures combined.
Thanks for your Time

I understand that you want a personal critique on your image, but your title of the thread implies "How to improve Critique Club".
Image is nice, I am sure there are differant opinions on how they would improve the image.
Bottom line is, go with your gut. Rules are made to only give you peramiters.
Now, how do you propose to improve CC?

Apologizes it was suppose to say "How to Improve Landscape, CC" rushing does a post no good. Thanks for your input, next time I will take a few more minutes to improve upon the title ; )
Thanks
Tom

I looked at the histogram and the image appears a bit overexposed - this can be seen where the sun is shining through. I think you have a good eye and did a very solid job from a compositional standpoint. The image appears to be in three layers - the dark clouds, the middle brighter section and then the foreground. While you have a centered horizon, I really think it works here due to the use of the layers.
I did a quick edit of your image and found by moving the center point of the histogram to the right (mid range), the rays of light became more pronounced and the blown portions were a lot less problematic. I think this could use a little noise reduction in the sky (neat image or noise ninja works well - or a little gaussian blur on the sky itself). I didn't mess around with hue/ saturation or curves at all - simply levels adjust, noise ninja.

No local adjustments used, 45-second edit:
1. Dupe base layer, image/adjustments/apply image, soft light mode, merge to BG
2. Dupe merged base layer, image/adjustments/shadow-highlight, adjust both shadows and highlights
Local work could improve further. If you have CS3, you can do shadow-highlight as an adjustment layer.

A quick edit, the masking needs to be improved but do you like where I'm going with this, or continue with the previous? Thanks for all your edits and CC

Just liked less clouds at the top and also a more 'ethereal' look.

It is a shame that I had about 2 min to take these pictures, I prob would have reliezed the blown sky if I didn't. But when you have somewhere to be you have somewhere to be. Here is the Panoramic ( the real reason I went up there) again blown sky kills the picture.
Tom
Thanks everyone for all your help
