I talk about the photos of tombs. In all the challenges there is at least one photo of tombs.
My questions is: The tomb is a universal subject that satisfies any challenge?

I thinks he's saying "tomb". Quite a few cemetary monuments lately. Don't cha think. Past few challenges has a couple of them.
Oh well he beat me. I totally agree on the amount of tombs.

Don't know that it meets any challenge but...
- Life - the end of life is death
- Nostalgia - fondly remembering a loved one
- Freedom - the price paid to achieve or maintain freedom
- Repetition - grave markers are often lined up in a repetitious pattern
- Monuments - a grave marker is a monument
- Desolation - a sense of loss, loneliness, despair
Insect, back-to-school, sports - tough challenges to tie tomb stones into!
I think it's probably the fact that a tomb stone or grave marker is an emotive, universally (more or less) recognized symbol that easily stirs deep feelings in a lot of people. They also tend to make effective black and white or duotone images because of the contrasts and textures in the stone. |
