Another vote for Mpix. Every time I get prints back from them I am blown away by the quality.
I just got a 20x30 back. I was unsure what to expect. It was as clean and crisp as an 8x10, even at a fairly close viewing distance.

I LOVE Mpix - they are the sister company to the professional line Millers. I use both, depending on my needs, but their quality seems very much equal. Millers offers more in terms of software - batch processing of sports orders and undergrad stuff. I also think they offer better products. You need to have a tax ID number to use Millerslab, so if you have one, you should check them out. But I love both their customer services.. any problems are always resolved with a smile and done within a day. Millers gives you an easy (800) # and Mpix rely's on email communication. |

mpix is definately top of the line. A bit more pricey however. I usually use smugmug or adorama. Just depends on how large my order will be. |

I know I'm a week late with this post but I have been using
White House Custom Color a.k.a. WHCC
They're very "Professional". They have amazing quality, free shipping on orders over $12 AND you get 5 FREE 8x10s when you set up your account. The 5 free prints are to make sure that your monitor is calibrated correctly.
Their wallets come die cut with rounded corners.
As far as pricing goes:
8 up wallet 2.00
56 wallet special 11.90
4x5 .65
4x6 .70
5x7 1.10
8x10 2.00
11x14 4.00
16x20 13.25
30x45 47.50
30x45+ 5.25 / sq. ft.
Seriously, you can't go wrong with this pricing. Just add your markup to the prints when you sell them to the customer!

Thanks in advance for your help. |
I used Shutterfly for my daughters senior portraits and will use either them or mpix for my niece's.
HOWEVER...
Walmart is NOT a bad place for prints. I did some senior night photos for our school band and am printing them there as well.
Apparently consumer reports just did a report (duh) on the various print places and the in-store 1hour Fuji lab at Walmart took 2nd place I was told. I was going to do their mail-to-store service and the lady there said those didn't come out as good, however, the in-store ones are not bad at all.
That is subject to change of course :) Walmart brand paint used to be the #1 paint rated by Consumer reports for years and my wife (the interior painter) loved it. But recently they've lowered their quality.

Chalk up another Mpix user here, too. I have printed literally thousands of photos through them, and never had ONE single problem with them.
Shutterfly was okay for a while, but I kept getting images that looked like there was a piece of paper in the enlarger part of the machine, like a white line through some of them, which told me that no one actually looked at the prints before they were sent out. |

For prints that last, I would recommand you to ask for "giclee prints". Using fade resistant archival inks, these prints last for over 100 years.
That's the ink I use to print my own photographs.
