we didnt have the ice here in NWFL quite yet (its here now unbelievably),so i shoe'd one in,probably shouldnt have as it is tanking titanically!!! i think i hear violins...lol

I'm afraid I must have missed this in chemistry class. Wiki says this about snow, "Snow is a type of precipitation in the form of crystalline water ice, consisting of a multitude of snowflakes that fall from clouds. Since snow is composed of small ice particles, it is a granular material. It has an open and therefore soft structure, unless packed by external pressure."
How does snow not count when the description reads merely "Ice"? It's time to loosen up your DNMC criteria.
And, yes, my entry has both snow and ice, but I'm not worried about my entry at the moment, I'm just fighting against the narrow definition of the challenge. |
thanks for fighting. maybe that's why i'm getting so many 2s. i wish they'd at least comment and say so, if that's what it is. |

| I am really learning a lot from have absolutely 0 comments. With that said, I didn't think I'd do very well with the shot since it was so last minute and ice is only found in freezers where I live. |

Some good comments, and someone gave me a 10. It's bouncing around within a .2 range. It's been going up just enough to give me hopes of a final 6 and then back down again.

I can never guess it either. I thought my texture entry would do a mid 5 at best and I got a solid 6. My perspective entry that I thought was awesome ended as a low 5, so I ain't got it figured out either. |

If I keep up the pace I'm at now I might make it to 4. Got 3 comments and I see that there is a lack of clarity about the ice in my shot. It was in the freezer before I took it out and was melting as I was shooting it. My guess is that it is ice. I might be mistaken but I think I was there when I took the shot. Good thing I didn't use coconut oil and try to pass it off as ice.
