And here I thought I could comfortably speak and understand the language when I got there.... I'm beginning to realize this isn't so.

Oh no, definitely not! Takes a life time to master.

I'm willing to bet one of them was the bumbag 'thing'! The first time I heard the friends I was staying with say the US version I couldn't stop laughing... lol

LOL think I'll wait till I meet Deb to tell her about that and a few more! ;o) I was about to say you Americans are weird but I think most of DPC might turn on me so I'll blame the language 'issues' on us Brits ;o)

While you're all enjoying yourselves on the GTG try not to look suspicious

This might explain the recent problems Nick has been experiencing.

Now that is off-the-scale funny :)

I was looking at the originals and my first thought was "I gotta do one of these" and it's already been done.

Now we not only have the police to deal with, but every member of the public too. Thanks for posting - it totally explains why I'm suddenly public enemy #1 in my own town all of a sudden...

I'm going to spray paint "NOT A TERRORIST" on the back of my high viz vest (am serious - call it Artâ„¢ :)) to make a point.

N

p.s. Check out one of my earlier brushes with the police (S019 no less) - this time dressed as a stormtrooper

Update: A France24.com journo has seen my story and wants to use my photos for a story she's writing about anti-terrorism schemes in the UK. Might get published yet, albeit online...

OK, couple of things have popped up..

1.I get back on the 13th, Hanae on the 15th so hoping JETLAG will not be an issue
2. and most important, I will have no car insurance when i get back and the car will be out of MOT, I will try to work around it or find a lift into London somehow.

I will be in touch with Simmo by mobile but it's not looking good for us, we could train it in but with travel cards and pubs and food it will be too expensive for us after just returning from overseas.. The car was easy, jump in drive and drive home..

We definately do not wanna miss this one though.
