I read the post where mad_brewer suggests shooting something we ar enot comfortable shooting. I am just coming back from a vacation in Dominican Republic, where my husband snatched my camera and shot some amazing portraits of STRANGERS!! I soooooooo want to be able to do that! Hey! I'm the photographer here, dammit! I should be able to nailed this - no? :(
So I'd like to do this side challenge on "Humanity", as a state and as a group of beings. Although I cannot promise I'll do 31 days, I look forward to this to expand my "comfort zone". |

Hey Lisa,
How good is this...Got a phone call today to pick up my camera...all fixed!! Canon only had it for two weeks. Bloody brilliant!!!!!
So now, my theme for this side challenge is 'Worlds Classic Band Names'.
And while I'm at it..
Hey Laurie L1....your a gem. |

Ok- my theme... "Vessels / Containers"
I'm a bit of a packrat when it comes to containers of almost any type - I always think "I can use this for something". Fortunately I save large containers as well so I can store all my saved smaller containers that I will find a use for eventually. Should be pretty challenging to keep the photos interesting. We'll see how it goes the first 2 weeks and then I might have had enough and want to switch.
Let the games begin.

My theme will be, the alphabet. I know Naomi will be doing the same theme so this should be interesting. Let's see if we'll ever choose the same subject for a letter.
As Art put it. Let the games begin...
Have fun everyone! |

If I can still get in, I would like to try this as my first side challenge! I'm very interested in the idea of candid photography, but it's very outside of my comfort zone. So I think I'll try something like "people out in the world." We'll see how that goes! Any suggestions are more than welcome!

I still have no clue on what to do....can I do something different everyday?? Does someone want to assign me something????
I've thought about landscapes, since I've barely work on them....but then again, I doubt I'll be going too far from home.
I guess I will do "outside" so I'm sure to get out everyday
Anything Outdoors
color only ~ this is going to be hard
will try to have the same item somewhere in every picture (always wanted to do that, don't know why)I'm not sure what yet.
Editing will vary |

I would love to join this side challenge. My studio lights are arriving Monday... this will put some fire under me to get moving right away. Also, since spring finally arrived in the Inland Northwest, I will mix it up with outdoor shots.
Topic: People: Indoors & Outdoors.
cheers,
JKH

Is it too late to jump in? I started a themed free study challenge a while back and never finished, but I really like the idea of doing this.
