Take the test... I know most of these but I didn't finish the test. My head started to hurt.

That's a real braintease...Made me think...and I remember most of those songs.

Geeze, I don't remember much of the 80's, nevermind the songs. Better living through chemistry? I don't think so...

I want the last 10 minutes of my life back!!!

On the other hand, I did pretty well_

Your generation stuck mine with a motherload of cultural horrors (bradys! disco! plaid! roller skating!). -30% for being a yuppie.
5 point bonus for telling me where you saw this. Thanks!

Final Score: 106.5

I knew a few. Now find a site with 50's and 60's music and I would rock! :) But then, unlike you younguns today, we had serious music that made an impact on our culture......

"Dooooes yooour chewing gum lose its flavor, on the bedpost every night,
If your mama says don't chew it, do you swallow it in spite,
Can you stick it on your tonsils and heave it left and right
Does your chewing gum lose its flavor, on the bedpost every night"

Ahhh for the good old days when lyrics made sense..

They're coming to take me away ha ha ho ho he he...................

This is one of the best 80s quizzes I've seen in a while! They definitely don't like even slight alterations in spelling, but I had a good time anyway. Thanks for sharing!

Too funny. I didn't score so well, but I hit myself in the head several times after seeing the answers.

Ahhh, nothing like music from the 80's (and that could be good or bad!)

flashdance flashback!!! auuughhhh!

i'm almost ashamed to say i got a 71. i'm not sure if i'm ashamed because it's so high, or because it's so low. i was never much of a music person.

oh well...fun

Ooo I did "scarily well" on the quiz.

110 leg warmer clad, jumper dress over spandex wearing, side ponytail having points!

Sue me, but I love the 80's.. particularly the music!

I got a 99.5, and I messed up a couple little things I definitely should have known. For some reason I have a mental block on Peter Gabriel songs.

"You grew up to this. No Bonus. No penalty."

phew,, 41.5,, "don't push me, I didn't want my MTV bad enough"!

I spent most of the 80's in the ozarks living without running water so if I knew more than that I would have been worried.. even though I'm a bit concerned that I knew as much as I did!
Must have been those forays to the big city for clubbing and hot showers!

I scored 50-something, which I'm quite ashamed of... although I literally sped through the page and didn't attempt to revisit any that I didn't immediately know.

I suppose this is especially shameful since I was a radio DJ for half of the 80s!

I didn't know that, college days?

I scored a 45, and felt bad, you make me feel better. Sadly when I checked out the answers I knew most of them just didn't get them at first.

College days, and then some! I started at WPXZ in Punxsutawney while I was still in high school and worked there through college... moved on to 97KYN in St. Marys, PA for a couple years... then at WOMP-FM in Wheeling, WV, for a short stint (they hired me without bothering to mention that the station was bankrupt).

I went from there to MixJamz 100.7 in Pittsburgh, and I did evenings at Y-108 in Pittsburgh from '93-'94... and then at WISH 99.7 from '94-'96. I got a little sick of being replaced by new management, automation systems, and the general BS that went along with the job. I did have some fun and certainly have a lot of stories from those 11 years, though!!

Gee how did you ever manage to miss FROGGY98 in Altoona? I thought everyone in the media world went from St Mary's to Altoona then to Pittsburgh. Oh well at least you don't know my buddy at Froggy or at least I hope you don't...I'm in trouble if anyone knows him and starts questioning him about me and the 80s...

Somehow I managed to skip the whole Altoona thing before moving on to Pittsburgh :)

If you want to hear some scary things, here are a couple of my airchecks (I'm having a hard time believing that I'm suggesting that anyone should listen to these):

MixJamz 100.7 - Pittsburgh - 1992

Y-108 Pittsburgh - 1994

WOMP-FM Energy 100 - 1992

77.5 - I think I got jipped a couple, but still not stunning overall.

Very tough, and I am pretty well versed in my 80's music. I couldn't stand INXS then so that hurt a little. Good quiz tho

Like, OhMy Gawd, I got a 118.5

That explains my lack of short term memory-- my "hard drive" is full of 80's song lyrics. :)

wow yellowpeep! you're good!
I only scored 40! LOL
karmat: I agree with you .. "doh" was what I was saying to myself when the answers came up.. although there were alot I didn't know at all.. must be late 80's when I was married and working and didn't have time to listen to the "latest" music anymore :P
