| My father just got an Olypmus C4040Zoom. It's currently set to take photos at 2272x1704. This is too big for him... so I'm trying to set the default size to 1024x768. I can get into the menu and change the setting, but as soon as I turn the camera off, the setting goes back to 2272x1704. Is there some trick to getting the changed setting to hold permanently? |

On the 5050 which should be similar:
Open Mode Menu
There are four tabs on the left - move down to the 4th (SetUp).
The first item is All Reset - change that to OFF. If it is ON the camera resets of defaults whenever it is turned off. |
