I thought this would make my front page for sure... Can I get some C & C?

the concept is great, a colored bird, with the color in its name, for a 'color in b&w' challenge. however, the contrast isn't there, and it's rather blurry. it doesn't really bother me much, but the cropping (clipping the wings off right at the tips) would probably bother many voters.
i think it's a great shot! |

on my monitor it's a little dark and not exceptionally sharp ... without the title I'd have no clue it was a blue bird either ... I prefer the original ... hope that helps! |

Yeah, it is a little dark and the DOF is shallow but I don't know what to do about people not knowing it's a Blue Jay besides actually making Blue Jay the title. |

I voted a "5".
I think it's a good photo, but in my opinion, it doesn't make me think of color as well as some of the other photographs do. If it weren't for the title, I wouldn't know what color the bird was. |
