It's an image from a side challenge thread, but I have a special invitation from The Dead Guy to trample on the rules of his thread, so I award an Order of the Thumb
to pawdrix for this superlative Street Photograph with Lensbaby:

after a looong hiatus, here are the x-awards, for the greviously underappreciated, from my highest scores given in the Sand challenge.
posthumous ooooo, just sumptuous. the tones, the lines, the textures. mmmmm
rinac the colours are just lovely, and it seems to evoke a true summer's day. useful, in the middle of winter (where I am)!
Doyle ooo, anohter beauty. gritty and physically sandy. mmmmmmmmmm.

Very nice choices, Christian (except maybe that first one - heh) and good to see you round these parts!
My top three (in no particular order, with no particular ribbon color, and I still can't count):
And yeah, I know two of those are top ten. I liked 'em. Sue me. :-)
And I've come to the conclusion, after very careful study of several pictures, that muur88 must choreograph his subjects. I've been trying quite hard to place at least one person in more than one shot. I'll find one eventually.... (To those unable to read between the lines, I'm in awe of the ability to catch so many, in so many way cool positions of life, without overlap.)

Thank you, posthumous, xianart, melethia and chromeydome and thank you, everyone, for all the great comments! I really thought I would get slammed for this snow shot in the sand challenge. It just goes to show you, if you like it, enter it. Someone else will like it too! |
