| For the first time in days I have an internet connection that I can actually use for more than five minutes! Yay! I know I'm way behind in viewing and commenting (and posting - but that's not a biggie). I will try to catch up in at least the viewing portion and will offer a few comments as I go, but probably won't hit every shot. Hope that's OK. And in the mean time, I shall go find something I took this week to add to the collection! |

Day 6...
I had hiked up to the top of Prospect Mountain with the two dogs to get some moon shots. Unfortunately the clouds came in before I could get the shot I wanted, but I did get a couple of shots.
Here is my submission for the side challenge: 30 second exposure taken by cloudy moonlight. I had mirror lockup engaged.
Here is one of the better moon pics I took while I had the chance...
EDIT: I did NOT have the flash on.

I wish I knew how to use my flash better. Plus I am pretty sure I used the wrong f-stop. It was set at f2.8. Anyone know what a good f value is for a group like this? I had to edit this because the original was too soft.

This was shot with my monopod, and an old 85mm f1.8. 1/2 sec @ 1.8 and iso 800.
I just stopped in the road, got my gear out, got the shot, without getting out of my truck.
Lighten levels crop, noise. I guessed at the focus because it was too dark to see the black horse. I was hoping for a dreamy look with this shot. I like the 2 legged effect LOL.
Maybe it's just a nightmare : )
