First two were a 3 and a 4 (aka average of 3.5)
So I guess the other two votes were a 6 and a 7?
Varied to say the least

started off good until someone decided to be an @$$ and complain about DNMC. I worked hard on it, so thanks.

I only had a quick look but some of the shots really look impossible with only basic editing and just a single photo.
Love to see the "how did they do that's" after the challenge - I will learn a lot from this one....

1 good comment which I completely agree with.

It has climbed from 4.1 this morning though, so hopefully it will improve!

Don't know if they aren't seeing the double exposure or what might be wrong with it. I think it's atleast a 6. I would love comments that tell me what I could do better.

At least you started with a 6.2. I was riding a 3.83 after the first 6 votes! The good news is that it can only go up from there. I hope.

WOW! I'm totally shocked there. You put vaseline on your lens or something to score that low?

Honestly, for once I am surprised with how GOOD this is doing :-P
My image has SO many technical flaws (easily corrected in Advanced but not in basic), and I submitted it just for fun. I was definitely expecting a mid4
But looking at some of the entries, there are some with even more flaws, so maybe that is what is helping my score.

Still no comments :(

Seriously, when you guys vote, try to leave as many comments as you can, it can only help. I know my photo wasn't the best i can do, but it's still great to hear what others think of it :)

I joined the community actively a week ago or so ;)
Also, my comments given to comments received ratio is 4:1 and i haven't even started voting on this challenge :) So no worries, i will make lots of comments on this one, more so as there are many interesting entries this week.

Cheers :)

Joining the DPL has made me realise why I've not entered challenges this year. I'm not stupid and know we all think our images deserve beter than they score (most of the time) but imho my submission is scoring way lower than it deserves and after DPLII I may well sink back into obscurity and refrain from getting beat up by undeserved low votes. I tried to dumb down my submission to save the 'thats not possible' voters but guess either I'm stupid, my photography sucks or the voters are just *self removed naughty word*. Whatever the reason I guess dpc isn't the place to submit my images for critique :(

Other than this I've had a pretty shite day thanks :)

Sorry to hear about your day.
My photo managed to creep up to 5.0x before dropping back down to 4.84, but i don't really think it deserves a lot more, i'll be happy if it finishes above 5.0. I'm just getting into photography and DPC is a great way to find motivation and challenge yourself to develop your own creativity.

Plllleeease, vote as if its legal, and challenge the shot if you have doubts. I have the feeling that alot of people are voting down images they don't understand how they were done.

There is nothing wrong with challenging a shot to the site council, just vote as if it was legal.

I just went through and handed out some very high scores and gave shots that looked like they were not legal high marks. They'll get weeded out if they aren't and assuming they were I wanted to reward them.
