Just ran across a mention of this cool Google maps application. It shows how popular areas are based on the number of photographs indexed from those locations. Might be useful to gauge where along a planned route there might be interesting things to photograph.

Thats really cool.... I would like it if Google had an index of all of these specialty maps. |

htat was cool.
i think people like photographing mountains. the "hot strip" in the eastern united states follows the appalachian mountain range. |

Mountains and coasts, yup. With big cities thrown in. That's where people travel to in North America, anyway. Pretty much all of Europe gets traveled for its history, I guess...
