Perhaps it is because some who are NOT happy with their score, had turned off scores, and stepped away from DPC for a day:-) I know I am in the camp - I have received one comment, and am thankful for that (doesn't explain why the low score though because it compliments the photo rather than point to any 'flaws' that others might be seeing) BUT I am *still* not happy with the score/nor the low amount of comments that offer up no explaination:

1)Because I pride myself for doing good work to the point of driving my self crazy with getting it just right.
2)It seems that an even greater number of voters (than in what I have experienced from the past) express their opinion on the photo by number rather leave a brief comment on pros/cons. Yes, I realize that their are various reasons and discussions that have talked about this before in the threads so not rehashing that...at this point right now I am just feeling a 'vote of no confidence' in a certain segment of the voters.

I started voting but had to stop. This is why:
You have rated 42 of 150 images (28%) in this challenge.
You have commented on 11 images (7%) in this challenge.
You have given an average score of 4.3571.

It was truly painful to view about 90% of the entries!! A few I would have given a 9 or 10 to in a different challenge but to me, still life is pretty obvious and these are not a still life.

GUILTY! I just entered an image that fleetingly grabbed my attention for a moment that wasn't shot purposely for this challenge and I bone-headedly entered it anyway. Lesson learned. I guess you need a low scoring entry once in awhile to correct complacency.

Looks like I'll be flip-flopping across the magic 6.0 this week. Pretty darn happy with this performance, especially for a genre that I don't feel is my forte.
