That should be flipping pig's snot, unless more than one pig is snotty, in which case it would be flipping pigs' snot. |

It seems that no one I know realizes that "nother" is not a word. It's "another". I correct everyone that says it and they all look at me like I'm crazy. |

My twin grand daughters used to do things with (to, as well) each chother. For example, doing up each chother's leckerklaces.

Also, from //www.perfectyourenglish.com/grammar/positive.htm:
"As much/many â€Â¦ as â€Â¦/as few/little â€Â¦ asâ€Â¦
This structure is used to make a comparison of quantity.
I earn as much money as you.
Alice has as many children as Mary.
Tom earns as much as Harry.
We have as many cars as them.
They have as few visitors as we have.
They have as little money as we have.
In an informal style, we use object pronouns (us, them, him etc.) after as.
In a more formal style, subject pronouns are used usually with verbs.
I earn as much money as he does.
We have as many children as they have."

The mainstream media is as guilty as the rest of us and they're supposed to be professional writers.
Top examples:
HIV virus - Human immunodeficiency virus virus
CNN Network - Cable News Network network

Last night I saw a commercial for a minivan that claimed it LITERALLY gave birth to all other minivans.
A truly awesome accomplishment. |

Redundicated?
Funny, I thought it meant "hoity toity" from the context used in Caddyshack. It's interesting to learn that was incorrect.
ETA: supposably

Do you work in the Dept. of Redundancy Department?
Near where I grew up is the town of Los Altos Hills (Los Altos means "The Hills" in Spanish) so it's The Hills Hills ...
There's also the Piñon Pine (the Pine Pine), which is the source of pine nuts, and the Rio Grande River (the Big River River). |
Don't you have the "la brea tar pits" somewhere in California? Brea = tar in Spanish. |

Don't you love 'free rent'? If it's rent, it ain't free.
Or 'free gift'? If it's a gift, it's free by nature of being a gift, no? |

If there were a contest "free gift" would win. I think it has been around for a lot longer than the others, and it is just so totally noxicating. |

According to game theory the simplest model of a consensus appears to be that represented by the prisoners' dilemma -
Two suspects are arrested by the police. The police have insufficient evidence for a conviction, and, having separated the prisoners, visit each of them to offer the same deal. If one testifies for the prosecution against the other (defects) and the other remains silent (cooperates), the defector goes free and the silent accomplice receives the full 10-year sentence. If both remain silent, both prisoners are sentenced to only six months in jail for a minor charge. If each betrays the other, each receives a five-year sentence. Each prisoner must choose to betray the other or to remain silent. Each one is assured that the other would not know about the betrayal before the end of the investigation. How should the prisoners act?
Let us say that they protect each other.
If this is indeed a consensus (and I personally think that tius would only be the case if they were allowed to talk it over and thus collude deliberrately) then it is not a general consensus but a biprtisan consensus running, one imagines, against the general consensus in the police station that they should stitch each other up. |

That's more correctly described as the ID-10-T error. |
