| I finally started posting some photos there. I am a bit confused - are Affections comments? Any DPCers active there? |

I can't even get the main site to open from Google.....it says I don't have permission to view the server.
NOT conducive to attracting membership! LOL!!!

I've been on 500px for about 2 months. Getting a score can be confusing as to how many people "like" your image, and the rating goes down as time goes by. That seems a mere sideshow to viewing some great photography, following the ones you like, giving and getting supportive comments. You sort of need to develop a fan base by becoming followers of other's work as when you open your link it first takes you to the latest entries from the ones you follow. It's a nice alternative to the angst here at DPC where there is a daily moaning about scores, trolls, and the dreaded DNMC.

Thanks. That explains why my score went down from 84 to 79 since yesterday while number of votes went up. I haven't contributed yet as I was trying to work out the system. I should do that next. |

I'm on both, been on Fotoblur a couple of years and I really used to like it, but now, since it has become more popular I don't like it as much. I did however, have an image published in the magazine which was nice.
I think 500px has a lot of potential and I prefer the overall feel to that site as the quality (at the moment) is excellent. |

I just signed up there maybe a week or two ago, and have only posted two photos so far. I will be putting many more up over time.
