Chechens ARE Caucasian. They are "white", as are you. YOU are Caucasian.

Apologies Adam, i took you the wrong way there. I'll try and find the Caucsaian/Chechan Fox News thing again. It wasn't on tv, it was online so maybe the website shoots them things past. I'll try and dig it up.

Yep. Which is what the Fox News thing was saying the opposite of. Like i said, i'll try and find the Fox story again but all this sort of stuff moves and changes so quickly online.

But i think what Adam is saying is that he hasn't heard them being described as Caucasian vs Chechan before. So i get him there.

What she said. Basically, race among humanoids is divided into three major categories: Caucasoid, Negroid, and Mongoloid. The Caucasoids are further divided into Aryan, Semitic, and Hamitic. Put another way, all those "Middle Easterners" and a whole lot of the North Africans are Caucasian... Chechens certainly are; in fact, their native geographic region IS the Caucasus, so they are in that sense archetypal :-)

Exactly....There ethnicity is Chechan...the same as my ethnicity is English/Scottish . The fact that any suspect is white or black or Asian or middle eastern is a mute point.

My point. It does not matter what race this guy is

I think it's highly likely the reporter got confused when people started mentioning the Caucuses, and then words started to build themselves.

Yesterday I saw an anchorperson report that a fertilization plant exploded. Now that would have been something.

That's a good point. I guess i'm just a bit predisposed of thinking the worst and silly from Fox. It's the sort of thing our more horrible tabloid press would do in the UK.

To expand on that

There are a ton of muslims (the extremist) that are still pissed off about the 1st Crusade...This was old world Catholic endeavor

Honestly, i doubt it Adam. I think they are probably more pissed off about the Israel/Palestine situation today. To be honest, i don't blame them.

The white elephant in the room, or caucasoid elephant is, that these guys were Muslim, citizens of the US, living among us. Some scrutiny of their behavior by the FBI, but not enough It seems.

Well, i disagree. Like i said, i think it is more to do with Israel/ Palestine and other related issues than a simple goal of wiping out Christians because they think they are infidels. It's a cosy narrative, and propaganda, for both sides perhaps, but it's not the reality of what is going on in the world i feel.

White, pink, brown, red, yellow, African, American, Caucasian, Chinese, Arab, whatever. It's all immaterial really, but the part that did matter? Muslim.

These news organizations are so concerned with where he came from, but in truth it's clear that his point of origin was far less influential than his faith.
