The Angel of the North is a very much photographed work of art by an artist called Antony Gormley. It's near where I live, sited in Gateshead, UK. I want to make it special, and I decided to give it this look, but would value your opinion to how I might improve the shot.

I like it as it is! The people at the bottom give an dea of the scale. Maybe try the same shot at different times of the day...sunrise, sunset, cloudy days, stormy days...

Agreed that this is an excellent shot. The angle of the wings is dynamic and makes it look like the statue was going to fly away.

It would be interesting to see the details on the statue, at least for the people that have never seen the statue.

You can definitely do a great series on the subject and sell the prints. Absolutely stunning.

Pic 1 is by far the best imho. I'm fine with the images being posted here but for those on dialup - can you post thumbs in future?

breathtaking shot...the only thing i can think of to do to it would be to maybe crop the left edge in toward the wing a bit.

that's about the only thing that i think i would suggest.

(maybe paste a propeller beanie on its head ;)

here is my rendition of osram's shot (hope you dont mind and i will take it down tomorrow unless you would rather it be down sooner - let me know)

I really love the last shot. Incredible exposure for a night time shot.

Love the huge, enormous, gargantuan size. The colors make it all come together for a wonderful shot. Well done. I'll have to google it.
