Why can you not do a
Art of 2018: a Retrospective Standard
as a 1 week speed challenge archival 2018.
We all have the photos, why not go out on a limb and just throw it out there, and see what happens?????
Be daring, do something against the grain, do something that a lot of people want.
IN FACT--- Why not do a week challenge. Obviously, extended is already 2 weeks, but why not run a Standard and Minimal as well. Get the juices flowing. Make it 1 week (7 days) for Standard and 4 day week for minimum.
The photos are already there.
Do something adventurous, be outside the box, do something that has never been done on DPC, time-wise. Satisfy some people cravings! |

Ohhhhh wait, just realized as soon as I posted that, it probably means a lot of computer work and programming crap.
But then again,,,,, a little bit of hard work, makes a lot of people happy, and spontianity does make the world (and membership) go around.
How daring are you langdon

This challenge has been around for several years and it has always been "standard" editing.
I thought that was a given when I proposed it. "Extended editing" is another challenge altogether.
I am not at all interested in an "extended" editing. There is an 'extended free study" which covers
digital art monthly. |

Should be called: Digital Art - 2018
Joking of course but it would probably be better to have both standard and extended, that might please the hungry hordes. |

I'm probably way off base -- but it seems like two massively different challenges. I see standard editing art as "found art" and extended as "created". |

+1
That said, I have nothing either way. The one I would enter was taken in 2017 :( |

I'm happy and will dutifully dole out my awards for both challenges. |
