This is one I would like to come back to when I have more time. The lighting wasn't right and I didn't have time to experiment. This challenge may be better at showing me what I need to work on than it is for getting a set of wonderful images.

this huntsman spider was peeking out behind a picture that was hanging on the wall ..
he was the biggest one i have seen here .. measured at least 4 inches if his legs had been stretched out ... i got a glass and piece of paper that i keep handy for just such an occasion .. and caught him .. i took him outside and put him in the grass .. which incidentally needs mowing ..
i havent taken photos of insects or spiders for a while .. and he was quite attractive .. so i went and got my camera with 100mm macro and took some photos .. it felt good to be back in the saddle so to speak .. altho i do prefer to take photos of smaller insects/spiders .. :) |
