Can anyone tell me if they have had success with selling prints in the DPCPrints section? I am contemplating a membership here (currently at pbase)and would like to sell my shots. Thanks!

Short answer is yes, lots of people have had success selling prints. The membership is also worth it for all the other things that come with it (10mb portfolio, member challenges, etc.)
Here's a semi-recent thread where a few people have listed what they've sold: //www.dpchallenge.com/forum.php?action=read&FORUM_THREAD_ID=90955

They are printed through EZPrints, which, according to their website, is in Norcross, GA. |

I hadn't made a sale in about 3 months. I (need to again) go to the college campus and post "flyers" with examples and tearoffs, different forum posts that may have an interest (I have rural stuff with tractors, etc., so looked for those areas), at work on post board (hospital), the intranet at work, and stuff coming from my webpage that has "trade" banners, and links, etc.
Just a few. I need to get out and run through them all again. And loking into local businesses, since the galleries around here are pretty snobbish and won't even look at your work. BUTTHOLES! (C: |

Unless you're up to the Jacko-Dsidwell-Heida-Setzler-Kiwiness level (most of us can only dream), the real money is probably in referrals. Find a creative way to get your classmates to buy others' prints. Maybe set up a "referral" page or site for new college students looking for art to decorate their dorm rooms. I'm sure you can think of something. |

I think it's worth it. I've sold 6 prints so far and made a few dollars, but think it's time I start pimping my prints harder and try to atleast cover my membership charge.

Even then, I don't think high school seniors would be that interested either. Possibly put flyers around town though. I haven't considered advertising my prints that much, just links and signitures on other websites.
