Good on you Kylie! At this point, the Law of Big Numbers is on your side. You might not finish in the top ten, but you'll almost certainly have a good score. Sit back and enjoy the ride.

Thanks! I never take the scores too seriously, but this is fun for the time being! Top 30 would be awesome in my opinion!

This is my 5th Challenge, and my first where I have broken 6.0... It has been going up and down, but I'm hoping to be ale to hold on to 6.0 or just above. Thanks for those who have commented... for the most part the comments have been great.

What i start to learn here about the voting pattern..
1) Really good photographer tend to vote high... experience in photo is good for voting
2) lowest vote from person enter in zero, none, niet... no challenge....
3) people who vote a lot tend to have a better overall view, more realistic
4) Review the 7-8-9-10 score a second time is a good way to separate good, better, best
5) More comment you do, more people see your profile
6) Comment is from people that know to appreciate your view/work
7) Cannot understand why some REALLY amazing picture is around 10-20 position... when some ok-good picture do the 5 best....
8) A picture with 20 times 10 point score... have some 10 times 1 point... how can it append...

Anyway, statisticly, if i do 100 challenge, i will make the to 10 maybe 5 times, and maybe a ribbon in that.... 1 out of 100, not too bad !
:-)

The average vote from commentors is usually much higher than the average vote overall. Those who aren't interested in a particular image aren't as inclined to comment on it. The people giving you positive comments might very well be scoring you in the 5.5 to 6.5 range.

Hello Everyone,

I am pretty new to the site.

I entered the Everyday object contest.

I see a lot fo photos that really don't fit into the contest format that have higher ratings than some of the really good ones that fit the contest. (Past Contests)

Is this a problem with these contests.

Any hints on how to get people to vote on photos, etc.

Thanks and hello to everyone.

There are a lot of really talented people here and they have inspired me to progress and learn more.

How are you able to see that when the results have not been posted?

FYI: The voting is supposed to be anonymous and voting on a particular image not discussed until afterwards. I would suggest removing the id tag of your image. Thanks and good luck!

EDIT: Removed image ID from quote

Kylie even if he removed the id tag it will not make a dif. because you list his id tag. you will have to edit yours now also.
