I've heard that Apple monitors don't work with IBM PCs. Please, someone tell me it ain't true. I've been to a Mac store and found them to be the most impressive LCDs around.

The new 20", 23" and 30" Apple LCD's work with windows machines too. Check out the above link.

Guess what sony have done? Stopped producton of CRT, and running like the wind with LCD 'cause they can get a better margin out of it.
Yay for profit margins! |

I recently buy a new monitor. A Sansung 17" DFX. A good one to me. Here we are to spent a buck to get a 19". When searching to a new one I check many of the LCD options.
The thing with LCD is the view angle. A thick view angle change the colors of a screen in 3 lines: at top you see darked colors, tending to fade in monocrome, in the central portion you see the real image tones, and at botton... the same as top a bit less faded.
This is not acceptable to me.
The CRT option costs a half with none of those problems. |

You should consider the time you spend in front of a computer. The LCD technology is very good for those that spend a lot of time in front of the computer. Since I got my LCD i can spent a full day in front of it without killing my eyes. And a LCD with a large displaying angle doesn't "fade" the image! |
