handheld at: 300mm. (not factoring the 1.6 crop factor)
iso: 400
aperature: f5.6
shutter: 1/100s
no flash
very low light area, shot through a wire mesh screen.

I love this shot! Very well done.
It is one of the best shots I have seen of Toucan birds in quite some time. The Toucans they have at the local Zoo also are generally in an area where you can not get a clean shot of them and it is generally a very shaded area.
There seems to be some small areas of overexposure on the birds but not to serious that they couldn't be touched up.
Also I would consider cropping out the tree branch in the upper right corner.
Did you do a level adjustment for black, mid or white? May help with the overall cast in the background.

It's amazing how different the thumbnail can be from the full size picture. The thumbnail is almost boring. I almost didn't click to see what you had. I'm glad I did... fantastic shot!

Great colors. Very interesting but the leaves on the left are a little distracting. good job though.
