...started my little water tower project. I also got some other shots along the way. I hoped to get something for Travel Guides but nothing jumped out at me as being a "WOW" kind of photo. Just some fun stuff, an absolutely GORGEOUS day, and time to take it all in. I just wanted to share! :o)
Photos from today's adventure
C/C welcome; I'm adding more as I get some more processed. The ones up now have been sharpened and resized... not a whole lot else. Believe it or not, the sky really was that blue today!!!! |

Is that you in # 13?? Make and model of convertible?
Photos #9 & 16 are my faves - I like the towers isolated like that. Very cool!
You mentioned that the H2O towers are a new project of yours. Now this question is going to come off as "what were you thinking" but that's NOT what I mean! LOL I'm genuinely interested to know what you are trying to communicate with your tower images? What is it about them that fascinates you?
Anyway, good work! I love seeing the TX photos you post as I haven't been home in too many years to count :-( |

yeah... I had to do a self portrait or two for the heck of it... it's too great a day for the top to be up and I was feeling silly! It's a Chevy Z24... nothing special but it rocks!
Thanks for looking... going out today made me appreciate Texas even more!
edit: Why water towers? 'Cuz they're there! I don't really know why... just something different to do. I'm odd, I know! :o)

Laurie you got some great locations there. I like the river scenes and the horses. The thing that kinda bothers me is the light, very harsh midday light. The river scenes would be a whole lot better with either early morning or late afternoon light. Just my 2c.
PS: I wish I had a convertible! :P

It was actually all done before noon today... but it was very bright outside by about 9 am anyway. Oh well, I just did it for the fun! |

These are all really nice, Laurie. My favorite is #12. It is the one that most draws me in, as if I was standing there enjoying the day with you. Of the watertower shots, I love #1. The blue sky and the white puffy clouds look great.
Cheers,

Thems' some nice pichures.
(In my best southern accent)
Nice day & countryside. Water, farms, horses, blue skies, what else could one ask for.
By the way, who's the Hottie driving?
LOL
What's really funny, is that as I was browsing through your shots, Shania Twain was playing and then hit your pics. The music seemed to just go with the wind in your hair!
Guess you had to be there / here / whatever.
Hey Texas - it's safe to drive again. That crazy lady's off the road!
LOL

Haven't done any up as prints yet... but I use smugmug because it's unlimited and I'm already at my limit here on DPC! Thanks for the idea...I might just have to do that one as a print this week... hmmmm... |

But be careful girl, there are snakes in those weeds.
Is that you in the pictures? If so, you're a fantastic auto-photografical model!! Are you going to update your portfolio picture? |
