Thanks!

The photos and the layout are both very good. It is very easy to navigate around the site and all the different options are laid out very well. In my opinion the background color is a bit distracting. The combinations of that color with the black text, and the black and white photos looks nice but when viewing the color photos I felt that it was a bit awkward. Sometimes it is better to use a softer more neutral background color so that it doesn̢۪t alter the way the colors in the photos appear. Of course this is just my opinion, I only mention it because your photos are excellent and you don̢۪t want something that may distract the viewers attention from them. Very nice site and great photos good luck to you and keep us the good work.
Cheers,
Greg |

The "misc" link is overlapping your contact information in the albums section, and in the awards section the ribbon images are overlapping and distorting the text. And under "contact" your email addy is cut off by the frame.
Just what I noticed... it looks really nice, though, and I love the photos!
Conga rats for you :)

Nice website, agree that the colour is too much in your face. A pastel/neutral colour would work better. But looks great.
Now, in my Grumpy Old Man mode: HusbAnd...has a A, not an E
Can't help it, it's my age, always checking for spelling mistakes, and commenting on Stupid signs like...'Massive Rug Sale', who wants to buy a massive rug?? |

I don't know why the links don't work for a couple of you. I haven't had any problems, and neither have any of my friends who have tried to view it.

Text is overlapping pictures, some links aren't working and my browser crashed once (that never happens), things are getting cut off, etc. What program was used to create this?

I don't know why it doesn't work either, but if you really want people to be able to view it, you might want to take the time to test it on multiple browsers and platforms.

It is working fine on IE6, no problems at all.
On Firefox the links don't work at all for me, in fact nothing works. |

Very good, just one point I noticed that you have the same photo in two of the sections. Its in architecture and travel (I think?).

The layout looks nice, but looking at the source code (those WYSIWYG type efditors write AWFUL code) the function you use to disable right-nouse clicks needs to be altered. Set it so it only affects the images. Stopping all right-clicks keeps my from "open page in IE" and a host of other add-ins firefox and mozilla users use.
And, er, I don't like the different fonts (header vs. body text) I think you should find something a littl emore similar. |

Thats not bad for your first website. They can be a pain. I used to do them, but I want to focus more on photography. I did mine in adobe photoshop and image ready. You can add java with these progams, you cant in frontpage. If you ever wanted to get serious about web design, I dont reccomend frontpage. I know it seems great right now but you will find it is limiting. I still use it to add text. It is good for that. Good Job.

Very good! For your first webpage, this is great!
At the very bottom, it might be good to have some inserted space? Like a couple of The bottom of your writing is at the very bottom of the monitor and I have a feeling of maybe not seeing everything and missing something. LOL

Does not function in Firefox. None of the navigation icons are clickable.
To follow up: you should not be using Microsoft Word to create this site if at all possible. It's using a VML namespace for your hyperlinks that cannot be interpretted by any browsers other than Internet Exploder. PM me if you need help.

I'm am using Firefox 1.0 and nothing is clickable. The source does not look like anything resembling standard HTML. How did you create your site?

She used Frontpage.
This has come up quite a bit recently but I'll just restate my opinion anyway...right click scripts are really annoying and not an effective way to prevent theft. Pretty much all they do is annoy the people who actually wanted to see your site. |

I see the problem.
Your code contains a bunch of stuff like this:
This is non-standard code, and non-Microsoft browsers are trating the entire code section as a comment. Standard HTML calls for everything from any occurrence of is encountered.
Since all your links are contained within these if statements, non-Microsoft browsers are not rendering your links.

Like I said, it's my first (and hopefully only) website. I have a friend looking at the code to try to fix it. I only used Frontpage and did not use Word for any of the text.
Okay, for all of you who don't like the right-click disabling, do you have any other suggestions? I don't know how to do it so it just affects the picture.
I do not know how to write html, nor do I know much about website making terminology so it's not easy for me to try to figure all of the problems out.
I appreciate all of your help and hopefully I will get the kinks worked out so more of you guys can view my site.
Thanks again,
Mandy
