A 10 bumped me up to 6.45, but was quickly neutralized by a 3 just a few minutes later. It would be boring if everyone had the same opinion, I suppose.

I didn't enter but decided to vote and comment on the whole challenge.
There were some very lovely and excellent interpretations here , but there were a whole bunch that seemed such a reach to me. But I tried to keep in context that others may feel very differently about family than me and I tried to give the benefit of the doubt...

Haha, mine is a lot of a stretch, and my score reflects that. But it means family to me, so I decided to submit it even knowing that it would get a bad score.
Half the comments like it, and the other half say DNMC is some polite or less polite form.

This challenge has turned out to be a bit odd - both the entries and some of the lack of response to comments so far. More than 25% of those that I left comments have not marked my comment as helpful. I understand why some choose not to or don't tick the 'helpful box' (no problem - to each their own!), but the number usually runs around 10% of a challenge. I wonder what is up with that..... |
