Sorry I've been away from the side challenge. We buried my Boss yesterday and I've not really snapped anything new lately. I walked out in the yard with the lens that was attached to the camera and snapped a couple tonight. Macro lens was attached. Will get back to snapshots later this week.

Thank you he was the only Sports editor at the paper since they opened their doors in 1994. It's going to be very different from here on out. |

Too busy to have fun today. Here's a P&S of the sunset. It was one of those that surrounds the sky with pink and orange, north, east, south, and west. There was lightning, not in this shot, in the thunderhead at the lower left corner, and Venus is at the top.
ETA, My thoughts are with you Matt. About 25 years ago, one of my best friends, who was also my employer was killed when his helicopter crashed. It takes a long time to get back to sort of normal, but life will be good again someday. Know that you have my support.

(i almost entered this for chaos....then almost entered it for order. truth is i know where everything is so technically it is well ordered....)

A real snapshot, complete with roof support of boat in top left corner:) Taken yesterday in London on the River Thames. We had a day out and took a boat trip, so there could be more! I like just how basic a snapshot it is.
ETA: The ships are HMS Belfast, the larger one, this is docked permanently on the river. The other is The Richmond, a visiting warship.

Taken on my way to work -- fooling around with panning.
We haven't seen the sun for days, so no shadows, no contrast. |

This is Katy. I met her at one of my out-buildings when I went to turn on the light. I guess I scared her, since she sprayed me with something, and she scared the jeepers out of me too. Sounded like a helicopter when she took flight. BTW - Not a macro shot, just a big bug. She's about the size of my thumb. |

Sheba picked us for a family. We had no choice in the matter. I believe she was abused before she moved in with us. Took her years to settle down and trust people. Here she's trying to cool down on the porch, shedding her coat like crazy. |

Bruce is the neighbors' dog. Friggin' Houdini usually busts out of his pen and hangs at our house. Ornery devil, but a cute cuss. |

Another London snapshot. This is Trafalgar Square, there are four plinths around it, three have statues of lions and the fourth feature a different theme each month or so. This is the current one, a boat in a bottle. |

I was shooting Isaac at his martial arts class, and these two (handheld) images lined up so well I just had to make an animated GIF out of it; the two original images are linked from the additional info section. They are two consecutive frames, but taken some 8 seconds apart ...
