Not surprising really. Tastes differ. The only print I've sold here so far was one that barely made it past 5. My top scoring picture features among many people's favourites, but I have yet to sell a copy. |
So you can see that someone has selected a current entry as a favorite? Do you just see that "someone" has or who?
Duh. I just wasn't looking obviously. Found it.

Be careful when clicking the Add to favourites etc...
I've just written a big long comment on one of the shots in the desat challenge, went to add it as a favourite before clicking my score and the whole comment's gone... |

Apart from ignorance of the possibility that someone might want to pay good money for a print of one of my shots.
I had a quick peek, actually - my determination in things like ignoring my scores is weak at best - and I'm not missing anything :-)
I do wish there was a mechanism for communicating wishlist additions to the actual photographer ... but I don't want to appear to be finding more suggestions every thime the guys make another great improvement to the site.

i think it will be interesting to see if more pictures are marked as favs now. i know that there have been times when someone commented on my shots that they were going to add it to their favs but never did afterward, and the same goes for me in reverse.
secondly, i think it's going to add a new twist, in that you can add a fav without knowing the photographer. this will probably do two things: 1) it will reinforce good photos comming from good photographers, and 2) it will help those people who are good, but get lost in the mix get some exposure even if they don't make the front page. |

Hi,
I'm new to DPC so am just geting used to things around here. Can you tell me why my profile page says that I haven't participated in any challenges yet, even though I did submit to the purple one and participated in the voting...?? My stats are showing on the left side colums, just as you describe below.

Read underneath that section it says:
"Stats are computed after midnight on Mondays and Wednesdays."
And it computes only the completed challenges (please correct me if I'm wrong).

| Thanks Ami. I do see my challenege stats already--# of votes, average vote etc.So maybe it will register my particpation in the Purple challenge after the voting is finalized. Also, any favorites that I picked from the challenge posts are not showing up but favs from outside the challenge do, which goes to support this theory. |
