I'm delighted.....am over 5 for both selective desaturation (5.1347)and newspaper (5.2679):D I've been steady in the the mid 3's and 4's.

Sigh - me too - and everyone seems to really like the shot. Even the ones that say something about meeting someone for dinner or something....

| I'm stuck a hair below 6. I'm okay with that, though. I was just thrilled to see one of my photos actually break 6 at some point during a challenge ! I've had two finish in the 4s and two finish in the 5s, so if I can finsh in the upper 5s, I'm still improving : ) You have no idea how excited I was just to finish 40th in the Choices challenge. |

I am over 6 and thats good for me. I really think this is a great contest, I thought there were some fantastic enties, alot of really good ones aned a few that tried to force a photo into a news headline.
For the most part, I think it was a really fun contest to vote on. I think I am in the minority here from another thread, but I liked the contest. |

hey I'm to excited that i broke the 5 mark this time :) i have to give a lot of thanks to all the comments/tutorials they pushed me to pay more attention to the little things

This is my first submission at DPC..and I just took one shot for this one before being interrogated by a cop :( who was not very sure what made me stand on a road close to the airport with a suspicious looking camera
I am just above 5 and feeling good. |

219 votes, and only 5 comments.
I was suprised at how many photos in this challenge didn't look like they belonged in a paper, or had titles that didn't sound like headlines. I thought it was fairly clear-cut.
It'll be interesting to see what comes out on top, as I think the strongest matches for the challenge are not actually be best images photographically. I've put my money on the strong matches for the challenge. Got to go back and check I'm happy with the placings I've given and comment on some more, but it took a couple of hours to climb through them all this time around, so my brain is feeling fuzzy.

I'm at a 5.2 right now, and the only question I had about my photo has sprung up repeatedly in my comments. I should have removed it. But on the same note, the thing that I needed to crop out and didn't seems to add drama to the photo and I received one of the nicest comments I've had in a while...Made my day to be told the photo was too good for the challenge.

better than anticipated, considering I myself find many faults with the shot... meeting the challenge is the least of my worries :)

| My best so far since joining @ 6.2185 with 238 votes. But it has declined .18 in just two hours. I dont understand the voting on this one. I was excited about the score until I saw the quick decline. When it was at 237 votes I had a 6.2245, then plumit. Blahhhh! |

Let's see; over 6 and worried about a plummet. Mine's been vacillating over and under 5 all week. It'll be my 3rd or 4th best result. |
