like any other photography specialty, it's hard to get into. if you are really good at it, you can make good money, but you have to work really hard to get good at it. you have to not only be competent, you also need to develop at style that makes your work stand out. you might get lucky and get some people to pay you to take photos of food, but it's serious work to make consistent, good money.
one thing to remember, regardless, startup publications (online or print) typically don't pay squat for photography...unfortunately, they build their publications on the backs of photographers willing to work for credits, even though they pay their staffs. |
