Does anyone know what plant this is. It is very unusual ... at least where I live
Edit to add - it is very tall, nearly 2m. Just has red coloured stalks/stems and those interesting flowers.

Appears to be a form of thistle but the angle and closeness make it hard to get perspective. |

The stalks actually look like rhubarb. It could be 'common burdock' (from a google search on rhubarb and thistle).

It could be some form of alium, also. It looks rather like drumstick alium, except I don't know that it dries out like this. I think drumstick alium just drops its petals.
Sorry...the spelling is allium--with two l's.
