Very nice for most entries with many that I really enjoyed.

My shot is obviously not that interesting with only 2 extra votes in this time:

To be honest this is a little higher than I thought it would get so I'm not unhappy.

Hard one to vote, I'd imagine. I went for boring, and my score is a solid Zzzzz, so I was on target.

I'm no DNMC nazi, but it seems to me that there a fair number of entries that are pretty close to being centralized. Maybe that's the reason for some of the low scores? If the subject's not jammed up against one side of an otherwise empty frame I suspect it's going to be voted down by some folks.
11/15/2010 08:38:49 AM · #42
wow... powerful posting curse -- it dropped .05 when I was just thinking about posting!

Oh tell me about it! I am seriously considering selling my camera...,

i seriously did not expect my entry to be at 4.7 and still sinking.
nobody's giving comments, so im just wondering what i did wrong. everytime i get a 6 or 7, two people would give me a 3.
comments people... be brave enough to defend your vote of 3 and 2.

So Wendy doesn't get anything close to what she wants and enters anyway, dejectedly, and has a 6.3. I'm VERY happy with my entry, and have a 5.3. I think there's a lesson here. I just don't know what it is!

I don't know either, but we'll be going to summer school together.

LOL! See you there. Wonder who's teaching this year? I go every year, you know....

Perhaps that Wendy has been spoiled by too many ribbons in too short a time? I have to admit that after having some recent heavy hitters myself, I can understand the feeling. I do think there is a early wave of low voting going on with this one, however.

Yep, me too. I think I have a learning disability.

nonononoo!!! I was so excited all week, because I had a shot that I really wanted to do. It's rare that I actually know what I want to shoot. I had a Norman Rockwell type shot with my son and husband, etc. Unfortunately, there was only one time each day in which I could shoot it, and there was something going on each day.

I fixed some problems with the shot that I've entered, and I like it. But I really had my heart set on the other shot -- it probably wouldn't have had mass appeal, but I was in love with it before I even shot it. So it was disappointing that I didn't even get to try it.
