Ha Ha! Dropped quite a bit overnight. Most likely no ribbon in my future, but I think I might be able to pull of a person best with this one! Which is almost as exciting to me. Still scores fluctuate so much in the early voting, I won't be comfortable till I reach 100 votes.

Nope -- nothing to do with that. It's just hard to let something go that you're really interested in. I'm still going to do the shot someday, but this would have been the perfect challenge for it. It was also exciting because I hadn't done anything like it before.

With so many of them, I am not finding a true "subject." That occurs with some landscapes, and other shots with many things. Hmmmm. Having said that, there are several that are just brilliant. I didn't enter, so I'm enjoying the voting process. Good luck everyone!!

Climbing back up now, hope i can stay around here i,d be really chuffed. Like to get my average up to six but i suppose then i will be stressed out trying to keep it there so maybe not.

not voting in this one coz i am in it, but i had a look through and there are some great photos, i'll try to go back and leave some comments tomorrow when i have more time.

When I started here I basically was submitting shots for the sake of submitting them (didn't shoot specifically for 'em), and when I got out of that habit my average score went up significantly.
Cause I'm so busy right now I haven't had much chance to submit shots over the last month or two, and forgot that I can't get away with pushing in a shot that half-fits in as an entry and hope it does well.
Oh well. I'm beating Manic... just :)

Apparently my photo doesn't look as good in the daylight. I got hit hard in the last few votes and have dropped a whole 10th. So much for a personal best. Maybe it will go back up once the sun goes down.:) Still happy with my score though, don't want it to seem like I am complaining, I just started to get my heart set on that 6.8.

You're just hitting the first day harsh voters. It'll probably go back up during the week (or it could come crashing down... :)

The high starts are so bizarre -- you'd think there would be a pattern with them, but they can be so all over the place!

I just did a first run through vote and I have to say that I am very impressed. lots of outstanding images! I am going to come back and comment and re-look (I tend to make adjustments on my second go round) thru the scores but WOW I like what I see!

There is some excel form that ppl use they check their first score- type it in- then as they get scored they type in what their score is- each time they check it and it gives them the knowledge of what score brought their average score to that number-- its around on one of the forums somewhere...

well half like mine half not so much dislike but-its just not for them... :-)and thats ok! - its not a shot for everyone's tastes but its nice to get varying comments on it- i appreciate the feedback because it gives me an idea what ppl are thinking when they look at it- and the detailed feedback is always the best feedback ! even when they dislike something about it! if ya don't tell me i don't know- what to fix :-)

i'm sore bruised and aching today so i checked score despite my previous decision that i should not- i was pleasantly surprised by a very nice comment and tho my score is still 5 that's ok...

i'm still gonna do some prints of this image as it is shown and sell it I think...maybe. if i don't ache over much tomorrow I'll do it...

please keep commenting- even if its non positive feedback I appreciate it i take critique well and it gives me ideas for what to do next for the nxt time i shoot- same/similar or something else entirely


well off to rest my bruised aching body- perhaps my score will go up a fraction of a point or two with any luck b4 next i get to view it...
