Score is not reflecting how I feel right now. The comment I received was all I needed to make this challenge worth it! I don't even need to check my score anymore. |

I'd hate to see a water drop or wineglasses win this one, though.

Soooo....
I have to vote as I think Posthumus would vote,
- he normally votes the abnormal higher
- in this challenge the normal is posthumously and the abnormal is eyecandy
- my high vote should go to the abnormal
- I should vote eyecandy high
- but I can't do that as it is against posthumous policy (hehe)
- therefore I will be killing my computer and be moving to a new frendly abode wearing a nice white and close-fitting jacket.

Or....
- I should vote what I normally like
- I normally like what Posthumous doesn't like
- Posthoumous will be liking all the ones that are abnormal
- abnormal in this challenge is eycandy
- I have to like all the non-eyecandy
- but those are the ones normally liked by Posthumous....
- therefore I will be killing my computer and be moving to a new friendly abode wearing a nice and close-fitting jacket.

and i did not understand nothing... :-( my bad english has made a disaster so i have posted a shot that, maybe, is not "on challenge"... so a good shot with low score, is not so beautiful.
i have to study english not to take photographs! |

Agreed - I'd say anything clichè should not be in the top 10. |

It's interesting — there are a lot of what I'd call "Posthumous clichés" entered in this challenge. It warms the cockles of my heart in a camera obscura sort of way. Speaking for myself, I am content because I have received the dead master's imprimatur of approval. So, in that sense, I've hit the target :-) My score of 8.0000, of course, has not held up :-)

I'm not sure if Don is planning to comment on everyone's shot but I've received a comment from him as well as two others that are all positive and have made me feel better of a shot I already quite like.

My score is below average but that doesn't bother me as it has been swinging wildly. At 5 votes it was over 6 and at 12 votes it was 4.6. Obviously people seem to love it or hate it and I feel that shows it's probably the right sort of shot for the challenge. That or I just take boring picture - ha.

Sweet beautiful 4.
I have also got an amusingly disproving comment of disbelief from h2. Bingo! If i've made a photograph that Oliver feels is mocking to the very concept of photography then i'm on the right track! ;) I'm happy. |

I suppose the "under appreciated" images will remain under appreciated by the masses despite the spirit of the challenge and thus score low(er) albeit higher than clichè images (if there are any). So maybe this will be an all over low scoring challenge? :) |

Well... by the looks of things (specifically h2's profile page) it looks as though he's most into what the DPC masses applaud. In that sense, I think you're well off receiving his disapproval. You've hit the target! ;)
I'm still jealous of h2's ribbons and excellent photography abilities though... |

Can't wait to see which one is yours, Clive.
And sorry to all who didn't get a comment from me yet, I had to stop commenting after #26 because I was totally blown away by the amount of incompetence shown here.
Must urgently produce some eye candy now, maybe I feel better afterwards and can go on.
You have rated 133 of 133 images (100%) in this challenge.
You have commented on 26 images (20%) in this challenge.
You have given an average score of 3.4962.
(including two 10s and three 8s)

I'm sorry, Clive (and the other 25 recipients of Oliver's Cromwellian comments). I think that his pique was all my fault because I'd posted this observation in the earlier thread discussing this challenge:
"â€Â¢ The images that win posthumous ribbons are usually only incidentally about photography.
whereas
â€Â¢ The images that win the mainstream DPC ribbons are usually only incidentally about anything else."
Perfectly reasonable for him to be offended by my comment of course. He has little choice. |

Honestly, that post was long forgotten. Your opinion is less important to me than you wish for. Your comparison to Oliver Cromwell is an honour for me, though.
Clive, definitely your special! Might as well be that you got one of my tens.

I'm sure it's not all your fault Paul. Many of us have done much to attract Oliver's disapproving photographic eye in the past. I think you missed the Abstract Catalogue fiasco which seemed to incite almost apocalyptic fury in him as i think he thought we were mocking his stock photography style and going behind peoples backs. All in the past now though and we're all friends again apart from some gentle ribbing. |
