The results of the Free Study 2010-11 challenge have been recalculated due to the disqualification of the former 2nd place image for cloning out a major element of the photo (specifically, a prominent bird feeder was cloned out of the original). Congrats to our new red and yellow ribbon winners!

Why is that a bummer? If you break the challenge rules...

The bummer IMO should be addressed to nightpixels who deserved a full week on the front page and didn't get it.

of course, you're right. maybe there should be an additional of images on the home page to allow for that recognition. how hard would it be to code something to calculate how many days an image should be displayed and then make sure it gets its due?
