I have to do an award banquet on the 22st of this month. I will be taking pictures of the owner of company with individual employees receiving awards. They will be standing on an angle with a big screen dehind them. I will also taking various pictures of people gathered at their dinner tables. There is a high ceiling there. I was thinking about investing in this bracket; //www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/476278-REG/Dot_Line_RS_0420_C3_RPS_Digital_Flash_Bracket.html. Would this be about my easiest and best option??

It will certainly work. If you aren't planning on doing a lot of event work, it is a bit of overkill. You can get a simple StroboFrame for less than $50. I favor the CameraFlip model. If you can get into a real camera store it might help to see the different options.
