Hey DPC,
I've been away for quite awhile - the old schoolers might remember me for a snowboard photo I shot back in the day:
I've been pursuing the ski/snowboard photography gig pretty hard over the past couple years, and a big part of where I am today comes from what I learned early on at DPC. Thank you all. I've competed in a couple photography shootout contests over the past month: Whistler's Deep Winter Photo Challenge and Visit Salt Lake's Ski Salt Lake Shootout, where I placed 3rd and 2nd, respectively.

I'll admit that the main reason I'm posting here now is to enlist a little help in a couple 'fan favourite' contests I'm in right now - a little shameless I know, but I'd be happy to field any questions about shooting winter sports in return for a little voting love.
The first contest is a simple "most shares on facebook wins" contest, where the winner takes home $1000. My entry can be viewed here - just click the 'share' button to cast your vote. In fairness, the other entries can be found here.
The second contest is also for $1000, and is a side challenge from the SLC Shootout. The photo with the most votes, also in a facebook contest, wins. Here's the link.. Mine is photo one (Strain/Hindert/Alta)
Anyways, I hope this isn't too shameless a solicitation, and like I said, I'd be happy to talk shop re: shooting skiing and boarding with anyone interested. Thanks!
