Could someone let me know if my image looks like Weston's style? I can PM it or email it to you. Just not sure if I'm on the right track. |

I'm so disappointed. I could not find a single decent looking petrified alien body for this challenge; I don't know any songs from Dylan Thomas; and I'm fresh out of brown (and plastic) baggies.
Ah well...my entry is in anyways and no doubt an easy "1" from Louis...;-P |

I withdrew my alien, because now everyone is shooting them. They're becoming the new wine glass. |

You don't see this kind of drama (melodrama?) in Edward Weston's work, as a rule. |
Thanks Robert, for me your quote could also apply to this photo which I find equally dramatic:

Yes, but there's nothing eccentric about that light. Light and form are one. |
I SOOO wanted to mimic this shot, but all we have this time of year around here is non-mutant cabbage/lettuce... or decomposing aliens. sigh. :-(

I'm in.
My alien, fortunately, showed no effects of petri- or putri-fication so it should do well. |

I've changed my entry at least 6 times and I'm still not satisfied.
More than likely, I will pull it all together. Good luck! |

One of his favorite models was Charis Wilson .
Edit: I don't know why that link is asking for a sign-in. I am not registered there and the link has worked for me all day long. It is an interview with Ms. Wilson late in her life, age 92 i think it was, and a few years before her death. Quite a romantic story.
Try this instead: //www.boston.com/community/photos/raw/2008/12/westonwilson_attraction_is_cle.html
