to say hi to everyone. What a resource this site is! Talented photographers, great photos and I've already browsed many of the cool tutorials, very nice. I hope to learn a lot hanging out with you guys and in the coming days I'll try to get some photos posted.

Oh great. First the Icelanders, and now Dakitians. At this rate, I'll NEVER ribbon.

Whatever.

Welcome.

Hi everyone, I'm Jim's kid and also a new member here, live in S.D. also. Been in the military for 13 years and absolutely love photography. I look forward to participating in these challenges to get my photography out of the box, which happens sometimes when you take the same pictures of everyday activities for so many years. I need a challenge and look forward to this site!

Tanguera, I looked through your awesome portfolio and believe me, you have nothing to worry about from me, beautiful photos! Thanks for all the replies guys and thanks to Flying_Dutchman for turning me on to this site, I don't know how it has flown under my radar for so long.
Good to see some fellow Pentaxians!!

Hi, Jim's kid! I was going to ask what service you are in, but your portfolio makes it clear you are in the AF. Looks like you may be in a KC-10 KC-135 unit, or at least you got to fly along on a refuel mission. I spent 13 years as an avionics tech in the AF from '79 to '92.

I used to refuel those planes. Not as big of a pain as a kc-135

Except for those damn tri-wing screws that McDonnell Douglas puts the '10 together with. Hated those things.

Me too!!

(oh wait, I have no idea what you're talking about... I'm going to crawl back into my corner now...)

Hi Jim and Jim's kid!

Thanks, Jim! And welcome, Jim's kid!

I have my moments, but I'm too busy being "artsy" to pose any ribbon challenge to anyone. And Jim, looks like you've got the chops (and certainly access to the natural beauty) to be a regular ribboner.

Jim's Kind: I want to personally thank you for your service to this country. Which makes it possible for me to pursue my artsy photography.

Thanks everyone! It's great to be here :) I used to be in a KC-135 unit from 2003 - 2006, but that shot was taken when I was covering Northern Viking over Iceland a few years back. I'm now with the B-1s at Ellsworth Air Force Base.

@Tanguera - Not a probleeem-o, my pleasure and honor :)
