| Only for a week tho, lol In about two weeks ill be heading out to visit my sister in Torrance,CA. She lives like 5 mins away from the beach, and i cant wait to finally take some sunset photos instead of sunrise, While i'm there we will be renting a car for the week to get around and might decide to take a trip up the coast, how far tho is still yet to be determined. i figured id post here to see what other things would be fun to do and any must see photo spot to visit? |

| try Venice Beach for interesting street/people photography. |

In Playa Del Ray there is beach right at the end of the LAX Airport runway, its been awhile since I have been there, but if I remember correctly you can get some really good low flying airplane shots. (its a beach and park so your good to take pictures). You can do a maps.google.com to see what I am talking about :)
Also, the PCH is amazing just for the drive, but some great places to shoot along the way. |

I definitely recommmend driving Highway 1 north, preferably through Big Sur to Monterey, but at least up to Santa Barbara. The former would require an overnight stay, but I think you can make SB a day trip from LA if you start early. |

Second that - along with Ojai :-) Also, when in Venice Beach - check out the street character/mayor 'Too Much Steak and Chocolate Cake'. |

| Since you'll be in Torrance you should check out the Glass Church in Palos Verdes. You could probably get some interesting sunset shots from inside there. |
