| I think when the master is in the challenge, others jockeying for 2nd and 3rd places now. I would be lucky if I end up in first 20 |

Climbing back up a bit...
Weird thing is it shows only 3 comments on the front page but I actually have 4, even after refreshing- both remained the same. |

I had faith and it's paying off so far, after a lousy start of ~5.2, dropping to 5.1 last time I checked it seems to be rising quite quickly. I'll be happy if this finished on 5.5, but would quite like it to go 5.7+ to match my other images (bar last one I knew would be <5). Of course my score could always drop again too =).

I don't know about premium accounts, but I know with mine the front page score only updates once an hour, and that includes the comment count, but when people comment on your image the comments section of the image updates instantly, so I would imagine this is probably why. |

Got a 9 a few minutes ago. I know my photo is not a 9. Then, a minuted ago, I got a 3. I know my photo is not a 3. Both of those should be 8s ! LOL...

Doing about how I expected. Shot it about 20 minutes before rollover.
Wasn't terribly inspired by this challenge, or the forced-creativity on a really plain subject. Feeling a bit burnt out I think from some daily life things.

| well, my photo so far is not going bad and still floating between 5 and 6, that for me, as innocent rookie it's a good result. Btw, as per my photo concept and as per my personal interpretation of what is a photo, I have to disagree with many photos cause they are absolutely unreal, just fantasy photos or nothing that in reality will never ever happen. For me a photo is an instant of life captured in a click. Having said that, much respect for the artistic way to intend this fantastic world and for the quality they can reach. Probably I will never ever get a ribbon against these kind of photos, but the important is always to shoot in my way. P.s. my dog will never ever eat in my fridge, (and I think also in yours) but you got my 8 :-) |

Welcome to DPC my friend. It is all about the props. Left this place for a couple of years and just got back myself, and things are just as they were before. Don't let the style and props get you down. There are some really awesome and inspiring photogs on this site and the advice and help that they are willing to share is second to none. Winning a virtual ribbon and popularity are not the heart of this website. Good luck and happy shooting. (I came back for the inspiration and the people, winning another ribbon would just be a bonus.)
